کیا ارادہ ہے تمہارا؟ گوری نہا کر نکلی تھی سیاہ

گھنے لمبے بال آج چوٹی کی قید سے آزاداس کی پوری کمر

پہ پھیلے ہوئے تھے اور بالوں سے نچڑ نے والا پانی اس کی

قمیض کو جسم کے ساتھ چپکا گیا تھا داور کو نظرچرانی پڑی تھی

میرے ارادے آٹھ مہینے سے سن تو رہے ہو

 وہ اس کی اچانک آمد پر چونکی نہیں تھی۔

”وہ تو میں لوگوں کے منہ سے سنتا رہا ہوں اب تمہارے منہ سے سننا چاہتا ہوں۔ اور اس کے روبرو آکھڑا ہوا۔

کیا جاننا چاہتے ہو؟ اس نے داور کی آنکھوں میں  آنکھیں ڈال کے دیکھا وہ نہا کر نکلی تھی آنکھیں بھی کاجل کے بوجھ سے آزاد تھیں آج تو وہ نکھری ستھری دهلی دھلائی بہت دلکش لگ رہی تھی نہ چوٹی نہ پراندہ نہ کاجل نہ چوڑیاں اور اسکادل چاہا اسے دل میں چھپا لے

کہ تم مجھ سے شادی نہیں کرنا چاہتیں۔" رو دھیمے

سے لہجے میں بولا۔

ہاں۔میں تم سے شادی نہیں کرنا چاہتی، لیکن تم

اگر دل سے مناؤ گے تو مان بھی سکتی ہوں۔“ اس نے کہتے ہوۓ اپنی مسکراہٹ روک لی تھی اور داور شادی

مرگ کی سی کیفیت سے اسے دیکھنے لگا تھا۔

تم سچ کہہ رہی ہو گوری؟ میں تمہیں مناؤں اور تم

مان جاؤگی؟ وہ دیوانہ ہو اٹھا۔

ظاہر ہے۔ تمہارے کہنے سے نہیں مانوں گی تو اور

کس کے کہنے سے مانوں گی؟ تم نے بھی تو میری بات مانی تھی، آج میں مان لوں گی تو کیا ہو گا؟ وہ ادا سے اترا کر بولی تھی

یا ہو ۔ “ داور کا نعرہ بے ساختہ تھا۔ گوری یک دم

پلٹ گئی لیکن اس کے پلٹنے کی وجہ سے اس

کے پھیلے بال داور کے چہرے کو چھو کر نم آلود کر گئے

کہاں جا رہی ہو وہ پلو تھامتے ہوئے بولا۔

اندر سنگھار کرنے

سنگھار؟ "داور  کچھ نہ سمجھا۔

اتنے دن ہو گئے نہ پراندہ پہنا ہے نہ کاجل لگایا

ہے نہ چوڑیاں پہنی ہیں لیکن آج تمہیں دیکھا ہے تو

سنگھار کرنے کو دل چاہنے لگا ہے۔ وہ پلو چھڑاتے

ہوۓ بولی 

اب اس سنگھار کی کیا ضرورت ہے اب ایک ہی

بارشادی کے روز کرنا پورے سولہ سنگھار۔ داور نے

مشورہ دیا۔

اس سنگھار کے لیے تو ابھی سامان لانق ہے اور وہ

بھی تم لے کر آؤ گے لسٹ لکھوادوں گی درجن سونے

کی چوڑیاں بڑے بڑے جھمکے سونے کی چین اور۔۔۔“

اور پہ آکر وہ  تھم گئی۔
